Raymond Charles FRATER

From Caroline Frater
The day Dad was buried it was snowing and bitter cold. There was a foot of snow on the ground and we had to climb a small hill to get to the grave site. The pallbears had a hard time, as they kept slipping. Although there was a canopy over the grave site, the wind cut like a whip. The only consolation was that Dad was finally with my mother again.

Raymond married Caroline M. FENNELL when he was nineteen yrs. old and she was just eighteen yrs. They went to the Court House in Greensburg and got the license, and were married there. Aunt Mildred said that since they were under age at the time, she didn't know how they pulled it off. I guess young love carried the day that time!

Dad was baptized at the Church of the Advent, in Jeannette,Pennsylvania. After his wife Caroline died he never went to church again.
